Hey Bhavesh,
you have different options here I will list the 4 most common used here:
- Connect via Shared Memory (SHM) to SIMIT and over Ethernet to Simulation Unit and then ProfiNET or ProfiBus to your Simatic S7-300 --> This is probably the best and most complete solution because it simulates your hardware configuration with the Simulation Unit and complex devices with SIMIT --> But you need the SIMIT software and the Simulation Unit Hardware
- Connect MCD to Simit via SHM and Simit will connect to your PLC via ProDave
Here you only need the SIMIT Software but also ProDave on your PLC - OPC via Simatic NET - If you have Simatic NET you can use their OPC Server and connect directly via MCD to the Server. Advice: Try to get SIMATIC NET and MCD on the same Computer then you dont need to hassle with the OPC DA / COM Network Configurations that can be extremly painful at times...
- OPC and Simatic Connection via 3rd. party tools like "Process Simulator" (only recommend for testing)
If you want to use the free tool "Process Simulator" then you connect with MCD via OPC to Process Simulator and from there you can use the S7TCPIso Interface to your PLC (Ethernet)
Best regards
Viktor
