Hi
When I open the part I face this error. I haven't the O disk drive.
That's the path of a file from DEV location. Are you using latest NX12 version (Both MR and MP)?
I would suggest to submit this to GTAC.

Hi,
when I try to move a curve or more curve with the 'Move curve' command, NX shows me two manipulators, one near to the curve selected and another not near. Logically I try to move the manipulator near the curve, but It's a manipulator not selectable, the real manipulator to use to move is not near the curve. I don't understand why two manipulators and how to use the manipulator that is over the curve/s ?
A quick search on the programming forum turns up this thread (among others).
hI
this is a situation that is present from NX10, can you confirm on your workstation ? I decide to report today because I'm working on imported dxf and the move curve command I use often.
It looks like you are working in the context of a drawing. The curve that you want to move - does it exist on the drawing sheet or is it inside a drafting view on the drawing sheet?
I'm trying to move a curve inside an active sketch, that it's inside a view.
Hi
To check the Relationship of feature like Parent and child information, please select the feature from Part Navigator and check the Dependencies Panel in Part Navigator by click on Detailed view. It will show the Parent and child references in details.
Please check the below snap of Sketch example

Feature Parent child relationship
The manipulator that you cannot select is inside the view along with the sketch curve. The manipulator that you can use is on the drawing sheet. I suspect that GTAC would report that it is "working as designed"; however, I think that the design could be improved to be a bit more intuitive.
Hi
Looking at the error ,Intersection curve (parent and childs are having issues) , Please check the Parent of Intersection curve and check that some of Children of Intersection curve having referances from the Linked body parent part.
Solution- Please check parent and child of intersection curve and repair the children of intersection curve which are refering the Linked body (or any other parent of Intersection curve)
Thanks,
Vinod
Hi
To achieve the desired result for this case , please use Face blend feature with same radius value. Face blend will give expected result and not trim the blend radius at the sharing edge. Please check the below avi for details.
Thanks,

This detail view is "Label on Boundary", and I can't seem to move where the leader attaches to the detail circle.
When using "Embeded", you can rotate the Letter around. With anthing else, you can move the letter, but the attachment point doesn't rotate around. I don't see anything in the Help, regarding the leader attachment point either.
Is this just not possible yet?
Try holding down the shift key (or maybe it was Alt or Ctrl) while dragging the view letter to a new position.
Edit: a quick test confirms it is the Shift key.
Of course I tried the ALT key, but not the shift. LOL
Thanks!
Hello, Gautham,
here an example of a SCARA robot.
You must create a CylindricalJoint on your axis.
Then you can specify a drive for the linear and rotatory motion.
Take a look at the example.

The ALT key makes more sense to me since the Shift key is usually used for de-selection. Just one of those quirks, I guess.
Hi All,
We just did a big upgrade from NX 8 to NX 12 and I've run into some issues with some (not all) of our part family templates.
"Item type is invalid for Part Family operation".
The items types are NX_Utility_Item (customized item type for our site). All of our family templates are the same item type, and some of them are working and some aren't. Has anyone else run into this issue?
Our company recently upgraded to NX 12.
We have noticed that when we have a large assembly open, when we move our mouse over parts in the assembly navigator tree, sometimes the part description disapears.
for example it should show as:
12345,- [car door] (part #: 12345 revision: - description = car door)
will show as:
12345,-
and the text "car door" disapears.
This happens just by moving the mouse over the text, no clicking. Has anyone else run into this?
