January 2019, according to this:

More importantly, if you can site a standard, then that would be a legitimate basis for an ER.
Quick way to close a sketch profile?
When creating a closed profile in the Sketch Task Environment using the Profile tool, after clicking the last point to close the profile the tool will continue to draw (annoyingly). I know I can use Esc or "right-click > Ok" to end it, but I was wondering if there was a quicker way (maybe a setting that resets the tool automatically after the profile is closed?). I can't see the benefit of the current behavior, so I'm guessing there must be a better way. Thanks!
Re: Quick way to close a sketch profile?
Hitting the middle mouse button is the quickest way I know of.

Re: Pack And GO
Menu==>Assembly==>Cloning
This is a very basic of “Pack and Go”. Go through the tabs and you may find Naming Rules etc.
Unfortunately, if you have master model drawings, they have to be picked manually.
If you need any further help, just provide me a sample.

Thanks
It could have be coincidental, but whenever I my search string included "ANSI", the thread runout was not shown and when searching ISO it was.

最快的方式,除了楼上说的按鼠标中键。如果不需要继续点击屏幕位置的话,还可以直接执行下一个命令就自动取消当前命令。
How to upgrade NX
Hello community,
We have NX 9 academic perputual licenses. How to upgrade to latest version of NX ?
Re: How to upgrade NX
Here are some points.
- go to GTAC site and download here the new software.
- Check your license file if it haves the version to go to NX 12.
- If you have a custom environment, make a copy of that and test it first with the new NX version and not just go blind i a new version.
Re: How to upgrade NX
sketch plane offset is not a parameter?
Re: Assemblies/subassemblies and BOM management
Hi,
I thank you all for great help and possible solutions.

Is this just for visual purposes in NX, or do want the ability to perform certain actions against the components of those parts and subassemblies? T
Using component groups looks promising. Great video by the way! I have briefly looked in to this before, but I want to take a bit further :-)
I assume component group is purely for visual purpose. In the beginning I was thinking using dummy assemblies for visual purpose only and easier to hide/show specific groups/parts, but I am also playing around with the idea of having "zones" to easier maintain the entire product.
For example I can open a phantom sub assembly named "zone 1" to only work with the components in this zone. Thoose components in zone 1 is part of a larger assembly. All components in "zone1" is then promoted/belongs to a higher assembly level (including all constraints etc). Its only on idea stage so not sure if this works in the real world.

Re: How to upgrade NX
did you try to create a new webkey account?
If this is not possible contact your local Siemens contact for this.

Hi

Please contact your valued reseller or GTAC for some problems.
Re: How to use log file to write into the specific expression
Hi Ken,
Thank you for your remider.
Yes, I understand. But I found if I export the expression. There will be all the expressions to export. How can I open choose few expressions to export?
My purpose is to only select few of the expressions to create the .exp file. Then open another NX file to import and load them.
One option from my idea is use .exp file to import and replace some expressions.
Another option is, use Journal code to export some .log file or excel file or text file. Then run another Journal to load the value inside this file, and to change related Expression value in another NX file.
Do you have any advice or suggestion? Thanks for your kindly support.
Best wishes!
Edward
Re: NX Continuous Release
NX 12 is out since end of 2017, so "shortly after" is a bit misleading.
The release of "Siemens NX", without any version indicator, is officially planned for Q1 2019, so that users stop complaining if it is not released in January.
Which release to upgrade to also depends on the Teamcenter release you use.
In our case this means to first upgrade to NX 12 and afterwards to a higher Teamcenter release.
The reasons for this are:
- NX11 and NX12 include most fixes of our PRs
- we are still using Tc 10.1, which is not supported with "Siemens NX" released in Q1 2019
- Teamcenter 11 and higher don't offer as much benefit as NX12
Scale imported stl file in NX
Hallo
I want to scale a body which I imported as a stl file. It didn't work with the normal "scale body" function. Is there a possibility to do it? And if yes, could you please tell me step by step what I need to do since I just started working with NX.
Thank you already in advance
