View ArticleRe: What is "free_form_modeling" license feature for?
I think it's a legacy license feature from a long time ago.nx_freeform_1, nx_freeform_1 and studio_freeform are the newer ones. I think what happens, is that if you have a licenseI did some testing a...
View ArticleRe: Vary sketch dimension dynamically?
It looks like if the dimension expression is a simple value (not a formula), you can hover your mouse pointer over the slider and use the mouse wheel to change the value.

View ArticleRe: NX 10 and now 11 Sketch annoyances
Unfortunately I'll never get to use NX 11.0 (at least not the finished version) as I retired better than a year ago.
View ArticleRe: Move text and line at the same time
I think the problem is that all your curves are inside a sketch (on the drawing sheet) and the text is notes (also on the drawing sheet). I wasn't able to move any of the curves without making the...

The first point in your document looks normal to me.Did you als tried to change the default selection priority. Because this is default on features. The rest I didn't test so far.

An ellipse also has an 'Axis' which is what the suggested constraint is intended to define.

Thanks **bleep**,From your video example and explanation, I believe I understand. In the video, the user 're-orders' the blend before the sketch. Not sure why this is done, I would not teach my...

That's a curve parameter, NOT a geometric sketch constraint. Just like inputting the length of a line during its creation will not necessarily geometrically constrain it to that length.Make sense?
